Using AllPlay, coaches, parents and kids can learn how to include all children, regardless of disability, in NAB AFL Auskick. They can read quick and simple tips and watch short videos and animations which show how to be inclusive. Coaches can learn how to change their coaching style, rules of activities, equipment used and the environment so kids of all abilities can play. There are tips covering sensory sensitivities, motor skills, anxiety, mobility constraints, communication problems, safety concerns, social relationships, attention problems, challenging behaviour and motivation which are common issues for children with Autism or ADHD.
Parents can also read quick and simple tips and watch videos to learn how to help their child with a disability, or someone else’s, participate in Auskick.
Parents and kids can read illustrated footy stories to help them learn about what’s involved in Auskick and how to face a range of tricky footy situations such as managing physical contact and playing in wet and muddy conditions!
